Section NE-1, which covers the twelve lodges in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island will begin at the conclusion of the two existing Section NE-1A and NE-1B conclaves in June, 2013. These twelve lodges will form the new Section NE-1 and will operate the 2013-2014 section year with co-officers (co-chiefs, co-vice chiefs and co-secretaries). Michael Grande of Abnaki Lodge, Narragansett Council, will be the Section Adviser and Jonathan Widmark, also of Abnaki Lodge, Narragansett Council, will be the Section Staff Adviser. The current Section Advisers and Associate Advisers of Section NE-1A and NE-1B will become Associate Section Advisers for NE-1, including Scott Valcourt from Madockawanda Lodge, Pine Tree Council, David Paulson from Tulpe Lodge, Annawon Council and Daniel Burgoyne from Abnaki Lodge, Narragansett Council. Edward McLaughlin, Area 1 Director, made these appointments in October, 2012 and looks forward to an even stronger and successful section as the Order approaches the 100th Anniversary in 2015.
